SAN DIEGO — Trailer park operator Huaul says the Lake Wauariki property in the Pacific Palisades was shut down on Monday for the winter.
The park is in the process of being rehabilitated to help protect the wildlife habitat.
Huaul has been working with the Bureau of Land Management and Department of Parks and Recreation on the plan.
“We are working with Parks and Rec and they have also done a very extensive evaluation of this,” he said.
Lake Wauahikiki is about 300 kilometres north of the town of Port Angeles and just off the coast of California.
Trailers park operators and wildlife rehabilitators are on standby to respond to emergencies if required.
