TURKEY: The number of luxury car rental houses in Turkey rose in January to 718, an increase of 6.5% compared with January 2017.
The number of house rentals in Istanbul, which is the capital of Turkey, rose to 4,812 in January from 4,906 in January, according to an official data compiled by the Turkish National Bank.
The number one car rental house in Turkey is the brand new BMW X5 SUV.
The company has already taken delivery of 4,200 of them, the Turkish Financial Times reported.
The company has also acquired more than 2,600 other luxury cars from luxury brands such as BMW, Porsche and Mercedes.
Luxury car rental in Turkey has been growing at an annual rate of 7.3% since 2015.
The total number of car rentals in Turkey grew to 8,936 in January 2017 from 8,982 in January 2016, according the data.
According to the Turkish Statistics Bureau, in 2017, 1,093,000 households had cars, with the number of people with cars rising from 7.6 million in 2017 to 7.9 million in 2018.
The most popular car rental property in Turkey was the brand-new BMW X7 SUV, which has a price tag of more than 10 million Turkish Lira ($7.4 million).
